This was a last minute trip we put together to go camping at Grand Isle State park. The aftermath of Hurricane Katrina was evident, as much of the surrounding area was still in shambles after 8 months. What started out as 3 guys and a case of beer ended up as 5 guys( Louis and Brian met us there), 2 cases of beer, a fifth of Jim Beam, and a fifth of Muskadine wine. I woke up on a park bench outside of my tent. Those in attendance were Erik, Martin, Brian, Louis, and Me.
